Chef Thomas Hood began his career in Louisiana. Coming from a family of restaurateurs, he felt the love and creativity of cooking at a young age and began helping out in his parents’ restaurants.
For several years, Thomas competed in culinary arts competitions and was awarded medals throughout the southern states. This includes two gold medals received in the John Folse Tomato and Herb competition.
In 2000, Thomas moved to Houston in search of the next challenge and found it in some of Houston’s finest establishments. He is a founding member of the Central Market Cafe on the Run production facility and of the Hubbell and Hudson Market and Bistro in The Woodlands.
